We spoke to Sabrina Jeblaoui, the woman behind the Instagram account @nachtclubsberlin. During corona lockdown she allows herself to be in a bad mood.
The community has been standing still for a month. How are you?
"It depends on the days but generally I try to keep myself positive. Some days are boring, some days I am motivated, and I try not to judge myself too much in this period of crisis. I take it as a big break for our society."
How do you get the days go by? "Some days, I literally do nothing exceptional and some days I am doing a bit of sport (yoga). I also try to learn Collage on Photoshop, playing ping pong outside with my boyfriend, smoking a joint sometimes, try new recipes and of course watching Netflix. I just bought chemicals to learn Cyanotype technique. I am so excited about that."
How is your daily routine these days?
"I wake up generally early around 8am, drinking my coffee, smoking cigarettes, doing a bit of sport and then...it depends on the days...Unfortunately, I waste a lot of time on my smartphone (fucking addiction). And in the evening, I watch Netflix. Nothing exceptional."
Have you discovered something new about yourself by being isolated?
"I allow myself to be in a bad mood, to do nothing, no photos... It is really important not to put too much pressure on yourself and I am happy to discover that I am a positive person even in a crisis time like this. I just think I grew up and I'm becoming a real adult, haha."
What is the first thing you’re going to do in Berlin when this is all over?
"I am hesitating about going to my hairdresser or going to a party! Which one first?"
