The UK’s most vibrant celebration of queer club culture is back—and it’s coming in hot.

Body Movements Festival just dropped fresh names for their 2025 edition, and let’s just say, if you weren’t already tempted to book a trip to London, now might be the time.

New to the line-up is none other than Romy (yes, that Romy from The xx) delivering a rare DJ set. If you’ve ever caught her spinning at a Polari party or vibing next to HAAi, you’ll know she doesn’t just play tracks—she tells love stories on the dancefloor. Emotional, euphoric, and deeply queer, her presence at Body Movements feels like a perfect match.

Also joining the party is Ceechynaa, the Essex-raised rapper shaking up the UK drill scene with fearless energy and bold lyricism. Expect a set that’s unapologetic, high-voltage, and designed to tear the roof off.

But the true magic of Body Movements lies in its commitment to platforming the next generation. Through their Emerging Artist competition, four rising stars have earned a well-deserved spotlight this year:

  • Zackito, bringing a globally-minded, genre-bending mix shaped by the Taiwanese underground.

  • OBJCT FNTSY, the Folkestone-based DIY crew turning beachside sound system culture into a full-on rave movement.

  • DJ Thotski, whose sets blend UK flavors with queer cultural fire.

  • Light Gal, a North Londoner lighting up dancefloors with her melodic techno and progressive house feels.

Now in its fifth year, Body Movements has grown from a DIY rave in Hackney Wick into a sprawling, multi-venue powerhouse of queer energy. And while the production has scaled, the soul remains: it’s about community, visibility, and celebration. Over the years, the festival has raised funds for causes like Stonewall Housing, London Trans Pride, and Medical Aid for Palestinians—a reminder that partying can be political.

Already announced for 2025 are a slew of icons and underground legends including Mura Masa (A/V DJ set), I.JORDAN, HAAi, Peach, Cakes Da Killa (live), and of course, co-founder Saoirse. Full list is over at bodymovements.co.uk.

Oh—and don’t sleep on the afters. Body Movements After Dark is going down at The Cause, and sign-ups are already live with limited capacity:
