Playful Magazine took a chat with Berlin based director and porn performer Paulita Pappel who’s behind Lustery.com. On her website, everyday couples share their bedroom stories on film.
When did you start to watch porn?
As unbelievable as it might sound, I don't really watch porn in my private life. I started watching porn in Berlin in queer feminist events, when I started performing. Now I watch mostly as producer and as curator, and that is a lot! Why did you start Lustery? I started Lustery because I wanted to come as close as possible to capturing the real sex lives of people. I call it documentary porn, the Lustery library is like an archive of love and sex. We launched Lustery in December 2016 and it's been such a beautiful journey, I've spoken to so many couples around the world and I learn a lot from it and from their unique videos. When did you start to act in front of the camera yourself? I started to perform about 10 years ago. How much do you earn as a couple, if you get your homemade sex tape on Lustery? It depends on the kind of contract that you choose :) We pay a lump sum per video, not per clicks or likes, in this way we hope that everyone does exactly what they enjoy the most.
